AUP 29 (ceramics APOLLO produced by Cersanit) is a ceramic urinal with integrated automatic flushing. The electronics scans and assesses processes in the trap and upon the result it directs the device to flush. Only one litre is enough to flush the bowl urinal. If somebody approaches the bowl urinal without using it, the control electronics does not react. It prevents needless flushing in the case of incidental short-term entrance (passing by the bowl urinal, etc.). After 24 hours of no activity, the bowl urinal automatically flushes.
Construction of the flushing system allows easy installation comprising only connection and suspension of the ceramics on prepared wall. As all elements are incorporated in the ceramics, the flushing system is protected against mechanical injury, both incidental and intentional. The bowl urinal does not contain any optical elements; therefore it removes disadvantages of sensor technology such as soiling or damaging of scanning diodes and their poor dark colour sensitivity.
The ceramic urinal AUP 29 is intended for social facilities where the user’s comfort and the maintenance of hygiene is required at maximum water savings.

Der Sensor befindet sich am Siphon befestigt und reagiert auf die Änderung im Siphon bei Benutzung des Urinals. Bei Benutzung wird die Steuerelektronik aktiviert. Nach Ende der Benutzung und Verlassen der unmittelbaren Umgebung des Urinals wird das elektromagnetische Ventil geöffnet, das Urinal wird gespült. Nähert sich eine Person dem Urinal, ohne es zu benutzen, reagiert die Steuerelektronik nicht, es erfolgt keine Spülung. Auf diese Weise wird unnötiges Spülen, zum Beispiel beim Vorbeigehen am Urinal, vermieden. Die Konstruktion des Spülers ermöglicht eine einfache Montage durch Anschließen und Befestigen an der Wand. Das automatische Urinal AUP 29 ist für Sanitärbereiche bestimmt, bei denen hoher Komfort und Sauberkeit bei maximaler Wassereinsparung gewünscht sind.
Nach 24 Stunden ohne Benutzung wird das Urinal automatisch gespült, wodurch ein Austrocknen des Siphons verhindert wird.
Das Urinal beinhaltet keine optischen Sensoren. Alle Elemente befinden sich im Hohlraum des Urinals, was die Absicherung des Spülers gegen Beschädigung deutlich steigert. Das System reagiert nicht auf vorbeigehende Personen, Pegelschwankungen oder schlechte Entlüftung der Kanalisation und beseitigt die Nachteile älterer Sensorsysteme, die schlechter auf dunkle Farben reagieren Die Elektronik ignoriert kurzzeitige Unterbrechungen der Benutzung bei medizinischen Beschwerden.
